Trauma

Trauma is the emotional response to a distressing life experience. Most people experience some kind of trauma in their life time. Traumatic events can be sudden, unpredictable, and sometimes life threatening. An event is traumatic to the extent our safety and security are at risk. Trauma informed care treats the whole person, and not just the symptoms. Trauma therapy helps to reduce responses that come from past trauma.
